Tent camping is quite popular in the area since the North East of Scotland is typically the driest part of the country. Some of the most popular hiking trails near the campground are the Coastal and Castle Trails. Also nearby are the local distilleries, parks, art galleries, and museums. Some of the other popular attractions include Dalgety Castle, the National Lighthouse Museum, and Haddo House.

If you’d like to try some of the local cuisine, there are numerous restaurants, pub meals, fish and chip shops and Indian carry outs to choose from. Of course, you can always barbecue your own lunches and dinners at your campsite, which is quite relaxing and tranquil. The camping park is located on a park which is about 40 acres in size. You can take pets with you to the park and there’s a secured area where you can let dogs off the leash to get their daily exercise.

The campground has a toilet block along with showers where you can wash up. There’s also a kitchen for campers which comes with a kettle, toaster, microwave oven, radio, television, and table and chairs. If you need to wash any clothes after an adventurous day of hiking there are laundry facilities available too. If you’re simply too tired to set up your own tent or are just passing through the area and would like to stay overnight there’s a bunk bedroom available where campers can sleep in for the night.

If you have children or a group of friends with you, there are ways to entertain and challenge yourselves inside the pavilion. You’ll find table tennis in here along with a pool table, dartboard, and table football. In fact, the campground is an ideal setting for family reunions and barbecues as there is so much to do both onsite and offsite.

There are pitches available for tents, caravans, and motor homes along with electric hook-ups. There’s plenty of room for car parking and there’s also a chemical disposal point on the site. If you’re heading to the Banffshire region of Scotland you’ll find a wide assortment of destinations to visit and activities to partake in. Camping in the area is definitely one of the most fun-filled ways to enjoy everything it has to offer.
