About this deal

Loaded with premium features and built to last, this outstanding Tactical torch is designed for serious use in the harshest environments. lumenů (2,8 hodiny) -> 1000 lumenů (3,1 hodin) -> 350 lumenů (7 hodin) -> 150 lumenů (21,3 hodiny) -> 30 lumenů ( 48 hodin) ->stroboskop 3000 lumenů. Solution: Recharge or replace the battery (Ensure battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications). Throw was measured using the Uni-T 383S luxmeter at 5 meters indoors. Readings taken at 30 seconds using the included Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2 battery. Mode

This flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat while working, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight shell. Pay attention to safe use to avoid scalding.

Additionally, many of these everyday carry flashlights have oversized clips that can become uncomfortable when you grip the flashlight. The TK20R V2.0 is perfect. It holds tight without extending too far off the body of the flashlight. And you can remove it if you need to. Strike Bezel Fenix doesn’t conceal the identity of the LEDs they use, which I think is a nice concesion for consumers who care about such things. Whereas the majority of Fenix’s higher output lights are fielding the Luminus SST70, for the TK20R V2 it’s been booted in favor of its domeless stablemate, the SFT70. This is an entirely new LED, and hasn’t had much exposure in the flashlight continuum. I can’t find a data sheet for this LED, and I haven’t seen it featured in any other mainstream lights besides the Olight Warrior 3 and 3S. I do know it’s a 5050 (5mm x 5mm) footprint, so it fits anywhere the SST70 fits, and it runs on 6 or 12 volts. Like the SST70, it retains the quad die arrangement on a single substrate. The dies are pretty close together, but not as close as something like an XHP35 HI, and the design is similar to the SFT-40-W in that the bond wires are embedded in the substrate. This helps current handling and heat dissipation at higher drive currents. When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output mode, the light blinks 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to timely recharge or replace the battery. Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes.

The torch is made from durable A6061-T6 aluminium with a textured surface to provide plenty of grip and comfort when using. Z výroby může být uvnitř svítilny na akumulátoru černá izolační krytka. Před prvním použitím ji z akumulátoru odstraňte. In Tactical or Duty mode, the light memorizes the last selected output including Strobe. When turned on again the previously used output will be recalled. I already talked about how the recharging port works on the TK20R V2, it’s under the aluminum nut that unscrews from the base of the head. It’s nice robust design. Also inside that port is your LED battery status indicator and charge indicator. When recharging it starts as red, and goes green when charged. The light is not capable of being used when charged. It does support C to C charging but has no PD charging support. This what I’ve come to expect from higher-end Fenix lights using the SST70 LED with a boost driver: Excellent regulation and laminar runtime graphs. Although this isn’t an apples-to-apples comparison, judging from the graphs, it seems as though there haven’t been many meaningful performance gains with this new LED versus the older SST70 in real-world use. Professional users demand consistent light output, and the TK20R V2 delivers here. The thermal regulation is excellent as well, with zero drama, sawtooths and consistent output. The light was also hand-holdable throughout the Turbo test as well, and if you need Turbo, reactivating it is possible once it cools off. I also like the fact that there’s visual LVP in addition to the LED indicator: After the last step down, the light blinks 3 times every 5 minutes until shut down.

Features

Simpler multi-functional tail switch: this APF technology can transmit various signal commands through a single layer within the light body. Traditional signal transmission requires a multi-layer system. Thanks to this new single-layer system, the light size can be greatly reduced and the structure will be more compact. A:Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 is recommended. Other Li-ion batteries are not recommended. As an unmatched battery may cause the flashlight to fail to work normally.

Strobe is activated by holding the oval functional switch for 0.5 seconds when the torch is turned on and a single press will return the torch to the previous brightness setting. With the light turned off you can press and hold the functional switch to momentarily access strobe and the light will go off once the button is released, which is useful for tactical applications. The last used brightness setting (excluding strobe) will be remembered next time the light is turned on. The light memorizes the last selected output excluding strobe. When turned on again the previously used output of general mode will be recalled. Higher output: the APF system has made higher lumens from a forward switch possible, it breaks the limitation of current. Better anti-interference performance: the APF system combats signal interference, but it doesn't work if it is applied to a magnetic switch. Therefore, the TK20R V2.0 will be less prone to interference based on the use of a mechanical switch.

TK20R UE

Fenix tends to offer a lot of value with lights that perform on par with high-end manufacturers but cost significantly less. The TK20R offers more features and improved performance over a comparable Streamlight for about the same price. Surefire lights are the designer brand of the group, so expect to pay more for one of those. Q. Is the TK20R waterproof? Fenix TK20R v2.0 Torch (USB-C). Fenix TK20R V2 is a powerful update to the popular TK20R and is the longest throwing Fenix single cell LED Tactical torch. This new model upgrades the outgoing Fenix TK20R with an increase in output from 1,000 to 3000 lumens, an increase in beam range from 310 to an impressive 475 meters, tailcap dual switch system, 5000 mAh Fenix 21700 battery and Fenix advanced Digital Pulse Transmission signal system for a combination of ultimate power output and switch reliability. With the light switched off, press the functional switch to enter strobe, release the light will go out. Do NOT use the flashlight in inappropriate ways such as biting in the mouth, to avoid personal injury or life threats when the flashlight or internal battery fails!

I tested the runtimes in the 30 cm integrating sphere using the Digi-Sense 20250-00 datalogging luxmeter. I tested Medium, High, and Turbo modes utilizing the fully charged included battery. Internally there is a stiff spring at the front of the light as well as in the tail, threads are smooth, square cut and a bit dry. Up front the head is glued in place but the bezel is removable. There is a crenulated bezel made of aluminum protecting the AR glass lens, deep smooth reflector and nicely centered LED. An upgraded version of the popular TK20R, the V2 model provides an improved output, beam distance and battery capacity, plus an updated recharging method of USB-C, rather than micro USB. The rechargeable battery is another perk. The TK20R can use traditional batteries (and two are included), but being able to charge it with a micro USB cable means that you can basically take it off-grid forever with a small solar charger. A small indicator light keeps tabs on battery life, so you don’t have to wonder how much charge you have left. How we tested the Fenix TK20R tactical flashlightSome flashlight manufacturers prioritize simplicity by programming one button to control every function. Tap once for power, twice for the low setting, twice then hold a third time for strobe––that kind of thing. It’s annoying at best and dangerous at worst. I appreciate that the TK20R has a separate button for power and output, with the strobe function activated by holding the function button so save-your-life mode is never more than one touch away. It is prohibited to use 18650, 16340 or CR123A batteries. * 21700 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes. The Fenix TK20R V2 is using the Luminis SFT70 LED in cool white. The light I was sent is preproduction, and actually has a Luminus SST70 LED, however that has been changed in the production light to a Luminis SFT70 LED. My Opple meter shows it as 6035k and 67 CRI when on in turbo. In lower lumen modes it warms up slightly to around 5600k and has a notably green tinge to the beam to my eye. The beam has a pronounced hot spot in the center and minimal spill with some tint shift noted. Parasitic Drain was measured at a very low 1.8uA. There was very minimal PWM here, it’s basically constant current. The recharging port cover is worth noting here, instead of using silicone rubber covers like many manufactures do to seal the USB-C ports, Fenix’s solution on the TK20R V2 is to have a retained aluminum cover that twists one full revolution to reveal the port. It has orings at the top and bottom and lots of anodized threads, so it’s silky smooth. Also under this port cover is the battery level indicator and recharging status LED. This just makes sense to me and has nothing to catch, or get in the way like the silicone covers sometimes do.
